Thanks for a Glorious Harvest Stroll!

Thousands of people flocked to downtown Franklin Thursday afternoon to enjoy the Franklin Downtown Partnership 2016 Harvest Stroll! Main Street became a pedestrian marketplace and the fun continued on West Central and East Central Streets.

It was a beautiful fall day as the event began at 4 p.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Main Street. Past and present FDP board members and volunteers, past and present Town Council members, town administrators, Rep. Jeff Roy, Sen. Karen Spilka, Sen. Richard Ross, Congressman Joe Kennedy, FSPA Owner Raye Lynn Mercer, Dean College President Paula Rooney, Franklin residents and visitors were all there to officially mark the end of the streetscape construction and the beginning of great things for downtown Franklin!

Thank you to the event organizers Scott Martin, Beth Simon and Jared Simon, who did a terrific job organizing and running the Harvest Stroll.

Thanks, too, go out to all the volunteers who helped along the way (not to mention some enthusiastic Dean College students!), the Franklin Police Department for traffic control, and the DPW for all they do before and after the event.

And many thanks go out to the sponsors of the Harvest Stroll!

Gold Sponsors Middlesex Savings Bank and Rockland Trust
