Franklin Business Owners Hope Downtown Construction Project Doesn’t Cause Problems


A $5.8 million project to renovate downtown, slated to fix roads, sidewalks and lighting by next summer, aims to reroute business back to the town’s heart.


But business owners are expressing concerns about the potential construction problems, such as more traffic, noise and dust, even as they praise the project’s ultimate goal.
