Member Announcements: Dean College Opportunities Fair


LOOKING TO FILL SUMMER OR FALL INTERNSHIPS OR EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES?
 
You are cordially invited to participate in the Dean College Opportunities Fair, taking place on March 25, 2015, from 12pm – 2pm.  This event is a wonderful opportunity to fill your summer and/or fall 2015 internships or employment opportunities with eager and qualified candidates. 
 
You will be provided with a 6’ table and cover and can bring whatever materials you feel are appropriate to promote your positions and organization.  There is no fee to participate.  
 
To register for this event, please complete the attached form.*  You may either fax it to the attention of Tracy Nowak at 508-541-1549 or scan and email it to tnowak@dean.edu.
 
In addition, if you haven’t done so already, please register for your employer account on our DEAN CareerLink system.  Our employer partners have the ability to establish a free account in our system and post opportunities viewable by our students 24/7.  This will allow students to view your opportunities prior to, and beyond the event on March 25.  To create an account, follow this link: https://dean-csm.symplicity.com/employers/

The Franklin Art Association will meet Wednesday, March 4th, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Franklin Senior Center, 10 Daniel McCahill Street.

Refreshments and socialization will begin at 6:30. The program will feature a demonstration presented by New England plein air land and seascape artist Ted Charron.

Small Business Marketing Co-op Meets 2/18

The Small Business Marketing Co-op meeting happens Wednesday at 7 p.m. at The Cake Bar. 


Forming a Franklin small business marketing Co-Op was agreed to in yesterday's Franklin Downtown Partnership meeting, and many folks indicated they would participate in a brainstorming working session next week on TUESDAY, February 10th from 7:00PM to 8:30PM at The Cake Bar. For those members that are interested in attending, we'd welcome as many attendees as we can get! I've attached a flyer that you can feel free to circulate to anybody and everybody that may be interested. The more the merrier!

Center for Adult Education Opens Spring Registration

The Center for Adult Education and Community Learning has announced their spring course offerings. Registration is now open and classes begin the week of March 8. 

The Franklin Public Schools are members of the FDP, and this semester they are collaborating with other Franklin Downtown Partnership members to bring creative learning opportunities to the greater Franklin community. Those businesses are: Emma's Quilt Cupboard, Franklin Yoga & Wellness, and Tranquil Souls Yoga.

Registration underway for spring at The Center for Adult Education & Community Learning

FRANKLIN – Registration opens for the spring semester at The Center for Adult Education & Community Learning in Franklin on Wednesday, February 3. Participation is open to individuals and businesses alike in Franklin and the surrounding region towns. This spring, participants can choose from a very interesting variety of options. Course offerings include everything from a Winemaking Partnership with La Cantina Wine School and a series of Floral Design Seminars with Hillside Nurseries to Watercolor and Pastel art classes.

In addition, folks will find Knitting and Cooking classes; Career Building and Child Care Continuing Education, Marketing for Your Business or Nonprofit and a CSI – Franklin Style Introduction to Forensic Science.

You will find more exercise and sports programs than ever – Yoga partnerships for adults and kids; Qigong, Zumba and a specialized Indoor Walking class. We will have two additional nights of Men’s Basketball this spring AND we are adding Beginner Co-Ed Volleyball in addition to the Intermediate and Advanced Volleyball classes already in place.

French, Italian and Spanish round out the Language field. Wedding and Digital Photography, along with Photoshop for Graphics or Photography also make an appearance this spring.
